Fostering agency in Manchester and the North West | Together Trust

Fostering agencies

The Together Trust has been recruiting foster carers for over 20 years and is one of the leading fostering agencies in the Manchester area and the North West of England. Next year we will be celebrating our 150th anniversary!

We are a not-for-profit charity and we pride ourselves on the dedicated support we give to all our foster carers and, as a charity, we don’t make a profit. The money we make through our foster care support is invested back into the fostering service, to provide the best possible support for our foster carers and, most importantly, the young people in their care.

Now more than ever children are in need of foster carers in Stockport, Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside.

If you are thinking about becoming a foster carer, please get in touch today!

Take your next step to become a foster carer

You don’t need much to become a foster carer, just a spare bedroom and a passion for helping young people succeed in life.

“My foster parents were the only people in the world that inspired me, and made me feel like I could go out and achieve anything I wanted. When they found out I wanted to find the passion for piano, they pushed it so much and they gave me a feeling of accomplishment every time I’d learned something new, or if I set myself a new challenge.”
Brad Kella, winner of The Piano 2024

According to the NSPCC, there were approximately 107,000 looked after children in the UK in 2022/23. In the last five years the population of looked after children in the UK has increased by 8%, from 99,428 to 107,057.

In other words, the number of looked after children is growing faster than that of the UK child population.

7000 new fostering households are required to provide that care.

It doesn’t matter where you are on your fostering journey, we’re here to help. Please fill in your details below and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. All enquiries will be treated in confidence.
